Experience First – Inside Out

Experience First – Inside Out

30 Mar 2020, 11:30 - 12:00

Hamburg Messe - Hall A4 Upper

Technology is shape-shifting the world we know through innovations in propulsion, machine learning, autonomy, and connectivity. However, to make things truly better for people, transformation must ground itself in the human experience. This approach offers the most potential to enrich experiences for our passengers by not just applying colour, materials and textures to the aircraft, rail or automotive interior, but by also layering-in technology to bring that interior to life. This session will explore:

  • How technology embedded in materials and natural user experiences like gaze control, gesture detection, and context-specific wayfinding will enrich human experiences.
  • How to ensure no passenger will be left behind – how can we make the technology fit to the individual, rather than travellers having to adapt to each airline and airport and having to cope with a plethora of different processes, interfaces and apps on their journey.
  • The ways in which BMW Group's i Interaction EASE concept sets out to a foundation for more intuitive interactions between passengers and technology – and insights into the potential future opportunities for air travel?
